Here’s the thing about websites selling a service – there are no products to show! No cake, no mountain bike, no 500 sheets of printer paper – nothing!

So how will you get around getting a website designed and built?

Before I answer that question, I’ve another one for you.

What is your website for?

Telling people what you do? Explaining your passion for being a coach, or marketing consultant, or even an insurance broker?

We live in a world of ’Me too’ businesses, where we’re in competition with other businesses just like our own. We can use all the words that make us sound amazing. We can talk about our passion and our experience, we can even go down the ‘bullshit bingo’ route – see this below and smile with me…

“Orpiv Technologies is composed of a bunch of passionate individuals who are steered by a creative spirit and intuitive thinking. Armed with expertise and guided by innovation, our enterprising arsenal has some of the best minds in the world of web design and development”

Websites are mainly about building reassurance. They need to leave the reader wanting to know more, as well as feeling good about taking the next step, as they get closer to buying from YOU and not a competitor.

One thing will destroy this

Stock images. If you’re selling a service, you have to demonstrate your ability and you have to show your personality too. And you need to be authentic. If there is one of you, embrace it and stop pretending to be bigger than you are – you’ll get found out!

Finally, if this post has left you with a bunch of questions about what you should do next in your business, well ask me – I’m always happy to have a conversation – sent me a message – perhaps I can help?
